Trip home:
- Alarm went off 45 minutes late
- Pulled over < 1 mile from condo: 10 minute delay, got off with a warning
- Boarded plane only to find out there would be a delay due to the lack of pilots. (Note to self: If I ever run an airline, be sure to include pilots on every flight): 1.5 hour delay
- Due to the aforementioned delay, we got to fly with a tired and hungry 1 year old.
Two of the more absurd things (of many) I heard on vacation (Thank you Florida!):
- “Sorry, we only have $10 and $25 gift certificates” (after I asked for a $75 gift certificate)
- ”I betcha Hillary paid off one of ‘dem Saudi Arabian terrorists” (not sure what she paid for, didn’t stick around to find out)
Things I learned:
- No more flights with a child that requires a child seat and > 1 nap per day
- I hate the cold, but I couldn’t live in the South. Too hot, too…. (see above)
- Having limited access to the internet is becoming more difficult for me
- I’m amazed with the Wii Fit and ingenuity of the folks at Nintendo
